2022 in Review

We’re excited to share that Taiga Data is growing faster than ever. We added several new clients in 2022 and 2023 is already off to a great start. We’re hiring new staff members across our organization to ensure that we continue to deliver the best technology and unparalleled service. Thanks to the support of our clients and partners, our platform has continued to evolve quickly. We’ve also made significant progress on our mission: Enabling convenience store operators to become data-driven by providing a platform that delivers real-time insights to enhance efficiency, drive revenue, increase profit and improve customer satisfaction. Here’s a look back at some key moments in 2022.

C-store Industry Technology Trend Continues

Throughout 2022, we saw the shift in technology spending toward modern real-time data solutions continue to accelerate, which helped fuel Taiga’s growth. As c-store operators continue to face headwinds from the labor shortage, price inflation and fuel price volatility, the demand for real-time data insights that help address these issues will remain. 

Over the course of 2022, Taiga helped many of our clients automate their manual data analysis (SQL) and become truly data-driven. Taiga’s Front Office Platform, can be used to extract, clean, and catalog data into the NACS standard from dozens of sources in real-time, eliminating the need for manual SQL queries and spreadsheet analysis.

New Capabilities & Enhancements to Taiga Data’s Front Office Platform in 2022!

Our new Price Elasticity Module enables our clients to combat the challenges created by price inflation. This capability uses AI to accurately predict the optimal price of a product by maximizing margins while maintaining sales volume. This module automatically identifies the most impactful price changes by category, sub category or product sets.

Our new Sales Forecasting Modulewas also launched in 2022. This capability takes advantage of AI and Machine Learning to accurately predict your sales of fresh prepared food, packaged items & fuel by store, department, and category. To make accurate predictions, this module even factors in external information like the weather forecast.

We love meeting our clients, prospects and partners face-to-face. Our team traveled quite a bit in 2022 and made some amazing connections. Then we ended the year with a bang at the NACS Conference in Las Vegas.
